EDS Technical Leader,
Ford Otosan

Serkan Akıncı is an Electrical Engineer and EDS Technical Leader at Ford Otosan, where he leads the development of wiring harness systems for Ford Commercial Vehicles across both Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV) architectures. He holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Eskişehir Osmangazi University and an Executive MBA from Hacettepe University.
He began his career as a researcher at TÜBİTAK MAM Research Institute, working on sonar systems before transitioning into the automotive industry. Since joining Ford Otosan in 2008, he has contributed to multiple global vehicle programs, advancing from EDS Engineer to Technical Leader.
With over 15 years of experience in automotive electrical distribution systems, his technical strengths include:
- Mechanical design and optimization of complex wiring harness systems
- Corrosion mechanisms and prevention strategies in harsh environments of heavy duty trucks
- DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation testing methodologies
- Environmental durability (vibration, thermal cycling, salt spray exposure)
- Root cause analysis and field issue resolution
- Cross-functional leadership in global vehicle development programs
His work focuses on enhancing electrical robustness, long-term reliability, and cost-efficient design solutions in next-generation commercial vehicles.
