Stefan Mueller is Director Predevelopment E‑Mobility at the DRÄXLMAIER Group, where he has been driving innovation since 2017. In his current role, he is responsible for the complete early‑phase development of electronic low‑voltage power distribution systems, vehicle charging systems, and high‑voltage battery systems - from initial technology and concept definition to acquisition‑ready product maturity. His work combines system‑level architectural thinking with the development of product platforms that meet diverse OEM requirements while leveraging DRÄXLMAIER’s global manufacturing and process capabilities, contributing to future‑ready electrical energy systems.

Before assuming his current role, he headed the department for Predevelopment Embedded Software & Digital Services, where he was responsible for group‑wide technology development in embedded electronics, digital services, and AI‑driven product innovations. Prior to that, he led the Predevelopment Digital Services & AI organization, driving the identification and industrialization of proprietary digital solutions across the company.

Stefan Mueller holds a Dr.-Ing. from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), where he conducted research at the Chair of Automotive Technology with a focus on E/E core components, system design, functional safety, and cyber security. He also holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from TUM, specializing in automotive engineering and systematic product development.
