Dr. Marcella Oberst

Dr. Marcella Oberst is an electrical engineer with a focus on innovative connectivity solutions for automotive, industrial and energy applications. She earned her PhD from TU Dresden in the area of electrical connections at the chair of high current and high voltage engineering.

She has been with TE Connectivity since 2022, initially working in advanced development with responsibility for bolted connections and serving as an expert for contact surfaces. For the past two years, she has been driving innovation in her role as a manager of the product development team for Cell Connectivity Systems.

Dr. Oberst serves as Chair of the VDI 2231 standardization committee, leading the development of the first guideline for high-current bolted connections, scheduled for completion in 2026.
