Dr. Ingo Busche
Head of Development Concept and Robust Design Electrical Distribution System,
Audi AG

In 2011, I completed my degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on mechanical engineering at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. In the same year, I joined Volkswagen AG as a doctoral student, specializing in concept development and platform design for electrified full-vehicle concepts. I completed my PhD in 2014 with the dissertation “A Contribution to the Optimized Concept Design of Vehicles in the Field of Electromobility”, conferred by the Chair of Mechanical Engineering Informatics at Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg.

After holding various positions at Volkswagen – including assistant to the Head of Concept Definition and later Head of Concept Features and Technology Integration – I continued my career in Wolfsburg until 2016.

In 2019, I joined Audi AG in Ingolstadt as Technical Senior Manager for the PPE Concept Lead. In 2021, I became Head of Development and Design Engineering for Wiring Harness Concept & Package.

From 2022 to 2024, I served as a lecturer at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences (THI). 

From 2022 to 2026, I took on the role of leader of the Next2OEM consortium, a funded project under the KoPa35c program of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE). 

Since 2025, I have been serving as Head of Development for Concept and Robust Design of the Electrical Distribution System at Audi Ingolstadt.
