Bernd Weiss

Following his studies in technical computer science at the University of Applied Sciences in Albstadt-Sigmaringen in 2002, Mr. Weiss began his career in the automotive industry. His professional career took him along the entire value chain.

As an account director at APTIV, he was interdisciplinary responsible for the wiring harness business with the customer Mercedes-Benz AG, where he supported the production start-up of the A-Class, among other projects.

In 2019, he joined Mercedes-Benz AG in wiring harness development. There, among other tasks, he developed a method for the automated modularization of customer-specific wiring harnesses and introduced these into series production. As tool and process owner, he is working on the continuous optimization of the processes and the tool chain used.

As project manager, he is currently managing the activities for the implementation of highly automated manufacturing of wiring harnesses at Mercedes-Benz AG.
