Alfonso Manuel Cuesta Hernandez studied Electrical Engineering at the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla in Mexico. He joined the Volkswagen Group in 2007, working in wiring system development. Over the years, he has led the engineering design for multiple projects across both Mexico and Germany, contributing significantly to the advancement of vehicle power and wiring architectures within the Group.

Since 2022, he has been responsible for Functional Safety in the wiring system domain for the Volkswagen brand. His current focus lies on the development and technical support of innovative energy distribution solutions across the Volkswagen Group.
